Hello!  I am so thrilled that I get to be your child's third grade teacher this year!!  My name is Christy Hughes.  I am a lifelong Titan!  I graduated from LC in 1994, and began working as a para in January 1996.  16 years ago, I began my teaching career!  That time has gone by in a FLASH!

My greatest pride and joy are my two sons Ardennes (Age 13) and Octavian (Age 9)  My husband Jason and I reside in Council Bluffs, and my sons attend Lewis Central.

My hobbies include singing, listening to music, and being outside with my dogs.  My future career goals include earning my Masters Degree and Doctorate in Education.

PBIS

What is PBIS?

PBIS at Titan Hill - PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention System.  PBIS is a district wide system that focuses on the positive behavior of all students.  At Titan Hill, we look for students who exhibit extraordinary behavior in the following areas -

- Readiness To Learn

- Responsible Actions

- Respect Toward Self and Others

Adults all over our building will be on the lookout for students behaving in a positive manner

PBIS in our Classroom

Your child will be recognized each time he or she exhibits positive behavior in the classroom!  Titan cards will be hole punched often for both individuals and groups of students.  Once a Titan punch card is filled, your student will take the card to the office to be entered into a prize drawing.  In addition, your child will be allowed to choose a classroom prize too!!

DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, IF YOUR CHILD FILLS A TITAN PUNCH CARD, HE OR SHE WILL BE ALLOWED TO WEAR PAJAMAS TO SCHOOL THE FOLLOWING DAY.  I WILL NOTIFY YOU WHEN YOUR CHILD FILLS HIS OR HER PUNCH CARD.
